Collecting and maintaining Plasmodium spp.

Introduce:Malaria is caused by the Plasmodium spp., common mainly in the tropical zone countries, transmitted by anopheles mosquito. In recent years, the situation of malaria tends to decline, thereby conserving the species of Plasmodium spp. are important.

Objective: Conservation the Plasmodium strains. Initially, the establishment of Plasmodium gene bank and application.

Results: In this study, 30 samples were confirmed positively by Giemsa, confirmed by Nested - PCR method. Then, culture in vitro and sequenced.

Conclusion: Sucessful sequencing gene and phylogenetic tree of malaria parasite collected from Binh Phuoc province
