After a year of cooperation from July 2014 - June 2018, the Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI) and the Malariology Institute HCMC (IMPE HCM) have been achieved the objectives to improve the capacity of early diagnosis, timely treatment and full reporting of malaria cases.

On May 29, Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI) and the Malaria and the Institute of Malariology - Parasitology - Entomology HCMC (IMPE HCM) continued to discuss about implementing cooperation in the period 2018-2019

At the meeting, Associate Professor. Le Thanh Dong highly appreciated the activities that CHAI has supported in the period of 2017 - 2018 to improve the quality and efficiency of technical activities of the project. The cooperation content was agreed as follows:

  1. Organizing field trips to understand the malaria situation in communes which have been detected malaria cases.
  2. Implementation of comprehensive monitoring
  3. Training courses on the use of case reporting software, providing practical manuals for village health workers, training on the diagnosis and treatment of malaria for commune health staffs, training on insect monitoring for provincial staff; training on using telephones to report malaria parasites cases
  4. Supporting insect monitoring to collect insect index and malaria mapping.
